Rainfalls

The sky is dark... the night is quiet.... rain falls like uncertain thoughts.

Lightening thrashing... thunder crashing.... emotions melt away like art.

The air is breezing... lightly teasing... as rain falls like uncertain thoughts.

The sun dances upon the cloud filled sky... stars quickly fade away... here's the beginning of a new day.

Something challenging... everyday... wonder why thoughts don't stay... trickle down like rain... are they all in vain?

Who's to know? Who's to say? Sunshine floods into your day... invading the quiet of the morning... bringing with it birds-a-soaring... birds of peace... birds of prey... what's left for us to say?

We take things as they come... in hopes that we become... something more than what we are... specks on this earth seen from afar.

I like the repitition in the first few lines. Helps to build the storm. Nice.

Thanks Deborah. I believe on times that the sentiment of what we write is bourn from something we feel inside. That day - I remember it vividly- was filled with uncertainty (as most in that line of work), and the pounding rain off the windows, the windows being opened and hearing the heavy swoosh as the heavens opened. Fretful and delighted... I took pen to paper. The thoughts of what comes next..the sun drying everything, the smell of warm tarmac and grass, the swaying of the trees in the warm wind..and the "My wasn't that a storm" feel. Like the feeling of home... no matter the outside world, the cozyness of your own bed will never be replaced.
