Reality Unknown ( Updated )

And like the wind,

and the tides.

Like the moon

and the stars

in bewildering sky.

Like the day

and the night

and the warm

and the cold.

Changing constantly,

so I’ve been told.

Truth is perspective.

Reality unknown.

Happiness flows

in short streams,

and bold.

The ending of such things

is as sure as

the approach of death.

Waiting for so long,

holding my breath.

Whats left?

Can you feel my heart

beating slower?

Can you sense my hope

fading away?

Try as I might,

wish as I may…

the past will always remain,

to decay,

to take back from today.

I remember the light

shining through the cracks.

The glimmer of life

in the darkened water of corpses.

The coffin is opened.

Releasing the serpent.

Created with purpose.

Shy away from the sun,

embracing the night,

in which we lie.

To sleep and to die.

Awaken in a dream,

nothing as it seems.

One last ditch effort

to attain the impossible.

Its unheard of,

barely plausible.

Here I sit

in a crater of torment…

waiting on my savior

to rid my heart

of hardening cement.

Taking its place…

the event.

Your writing is very good. Emotions play a big part in writing good poetry. You show it well.

"Truth is perspective. Reality unknown." BenWritings puts a mind into deeper thought. Thank you.
