Relax Now Work Later

The Countdown Begins

Four and a half hours to make the most of my day

My day is so relaxing and carefree

First I eat breakfast and then I will eat lunch then off to work I go

I sometimes listen to music and other times I quietly type on my latest hubs

Thinking of dreams and making small things happen

Doing a few chores around the house to keep it nice

The vacuming and the dishes with the laundry done and the cat box cleaned

The grass cut and the garden watered

Not so exciting I know but this is the life that I make

Spending any free time with my wife adding another smile to her pile

That is the only pile she allows in our home

Making love as often as we can

Where we both can be happy and find life so much fun

Then it is off to work

Twenty more years to go

Each day is one step closer

I can feel the excitement build

What will it be like ?

Not to have to go to work?

Not having a boss tell me what to do ?

Having all day and night to do whatever I wish

Well I have these years to plan and design my retirement

Like artwork that I have only bought the frame

Now each day I will draw the life that I will have

When it is finally complete

I will hang it on my kitchen wall

A reward for all my hard work and effort

That is my mirror to my world

Where all the good is twirled round and round

If anyone else looks at the picture they think it is a clown

Dream On...retirement can be BORING...or EXCITING ...it's how you perceive it..to just sit in a rocker and stare into space is not my idea of a happy place..I will make-out my list of what I will do for the next 20 years..

it's up to you..what you will do....enjoy the ride now..cause in the end your

wife will still be your very best friend... Loved the hub..wahoo!

kj force You couldn't be more right. My dreams are like clouds coming in and out.Sometimes they drift out of sight.I have to refocus and hold my wife close and then up in the sky I see a new cloud I never seen before.Where dreams are cast and as I keep working until that faithful day.Thanx so much for reading and I would love to share some retirement stories what really does happen.Have a great day.

Had a nice daydream with you. I'm near enough to the age that I should be able to think of retirement, but I may have to work until I die. At least you have to potential to think about it...a good thing!!

kj force I will check it out. Before I read it I will have to let you know I really can only think of so many things I want to do and because of work and limited time I have to wait. I cheat a little I wake up early and pretend the day is here for about a half an hour some days. Then off to work a little later.picklesandrufus tell me what you would love to do?I always keep my options open just incase it comes earlier than I expected.(mostly wishful thinking on my part)Chances are I will work until I am old and grey. But I love to dream and dreaming is what I do best.Thanx so much and everyone have a great day.
