Release and Restore

Turn the pages

Passing through

The chapters

One by one

Until you reach

The end

Of words

And worlds

Will there be

A sequel?

Within infinity

There are no directions

Within eternity

There is no time

When we lose

Arrows and hourglass

What have we left

To measure?

Her lips

Were moving

But no sound

Was escaping

Her heart

Was a river

But no blood

Was flowing

Sound and movement

Locked away

In stagnant time

Somewhere

In the shadow

Of his mind

I’ve sent you

An invitation

To a gathering

Of many

In a place

Long forgotten

By some

But held dear

In the hearts

Of those

Who attend…

Your memories

Have been

Tampered with

But allow me

To restore them

Are you ready?

Wonderful music.

"There are no directions

Within eternity

There is no time

When we lose

Arrows and hourglass

What have we left

To measure?"

Truly inter-dimensional. Great work, as always.

This is my favorite part:

"I’ve sent you

An invitation

To a gathering

Of many

In a place

Long forgotten

By some

But held dear

In the hearts

Of those

Who attend…

Your memories

Have been

Tampered with

But allow me

To restore them

Are you ready?"

And that first image is breathtaking!

thanks for the invite, i think i am ready...ive always wondered what lies in the afterlife... does time become an endless eternity? do we float around in the infinite spaces of infinity? do we go to a heaven or a hell, or are we reborn, reincarnated as either ourselves, or someone or something else, do we continue to live the same life over and over again? or do we start anew, make different decisions the next time around, do we become someone else, "Your memories have been tampered with." all of this could be a fake reality...deja vu, yesterdays gone, and tomorrow not yet here, all we have is now. everyday we write a new page, but when does the book end? this is just some of the things this hub of yours made me inquire.

I might try that, sligo, but I'm not sure that NASA can keep up with my rapidly churning mind ;]

thanks

I'm with randy on this one Ben, both 1st and last verse take me to thoughts of heaven, then, poetry takes the reader, perhaps, where they wish to go. Enjoyed this. Be well

You took me on a journey through your mind. You evoke time as it stands still for you and allows you the time to write of experiences you are having or wish to have. I like it when there are no directions and life is timeless. Well done Ben, you are working at warp speed.

I doubt its what you intended, but the last stanza makes me think of heaven, the otherside, the eternal. You are always a joy to read, even with my phone going off and the Wii buzzing in my ear, lol.
