Deep Canyon Ranch.......Poetry

A fence and a pasture divided by two
lets let the horses run
One bluebird morning and a new day
begins with a fresh white sun

Walk down the line in all but silence
not a disruption to be discerned
But I know where the horse are
and the peace and harmony they've learned

They wait for the gates to rattle
they wait for the man to rise
They wait for the morning haying
they wait with no surprise

And as the dew lies heavy on the fescue
gentle silence awaits the man
I believe the horses cause this
I believe they understand

Oh hell lets drive them back to the upper
meadows give them another day
They deserve a break from all this work
that...... I heard them say

I am a horse lover and horses are Karen lovers - it's just the way it's always been! When i was younger i was asked by a ranch owner to please sit in the car until it was my turn to ride. The horses me. (some with riders on their backs..haha)

I'll help you fix that fencexx
