SOUL AT REST

When my senses cloud

And logic depart

When it's chaotic and loud

I surrender my heart

Humbly, at thy feet

In suppliant prayer

Dear Saviour! Thine eyes to meet

When my spirit doth slur

You have known me from my mother's womb

And shall guide me till my tomb

Thy shoulder, to lean on, have I

To take care of me and kiss my worries goodbye

Help me, thy words to sustain

Through every joy, doubt and pain

None stronger, glorious have I known

My sin's burden, from past till now, thou hast borne

My spirit, to you, I commit

Surrender free will and wit

Thou shalt bless and guide me

And my soul shall ever at rest, be

God bless you too! Thank yo for your beautiful comments! It is wonderful when we can just hand over the reins to him and sit back, isn't it? Who better to take care of us than our father and lord of majesty and might!
