Sad Dad
11/12/2012
My eyes are tearing when I see him like this
A remarkable character with a unique style
Whom I've seen tough enough to fight with the police
To help the young who would even go an extra mile.
Drastically it happened
A shock for everyone who cared
With so many tubes and bedridden
The sight was too much to bear.
The young and old, who loved him so
Shared the adventures of the untold
I wasn't aware that with the time, I've loved him more
Until he's no longer warm but empty and cold.
This poem I wrote when I saw my (step) dad sick and bedridden for the first time in my life at the hospital. Within 2 weeks after he fell sick, he went to be with the Lord. It's sad that he's no longer here, but glad to know that he won't be suffering with pain.
