Sailing Heart (poem)
Such fiery frets of fancy now resound
From hapless heart with hopes again to fly
With dreams this dainty damsel in some sky
Aloft this lowly lover on the ground
-
A wind that whispers kisses with a sigh
Set minds in satin sails drifting around
In tides of shapely shores which shall confound
The tender timid touches we apply
-
Maintain the mystic meter of our song
Retain some reach of reason perished soul
Sustain soft sounds of pleasure lest they part
-
Refrains that rise in tone then roll along
Restrains a risk of rushing past our goal
Attains another answer with my heart
