Same Game

Sanity hid behind a closed door,

The nature of the crime was the same,

Unequivocal evil at its core,

Different name, same game,

The Brooklyn Streets remain hot,

This time she was not stabbed,

Or garroted, she was shot,

The young woman’s body frame was bigger,

And she was a year or two older,

The last body found in an August heat,

In November it was colder,

She was found on a busy street,

A single bullet wound

To the back of her head,

Hair pulled back in braids,

Pretty but dead,

Her body crumpled near the bus stop,

Found during the early morning light,

Missing for just one night,

Killed in a single day,

And the sad part of it,

Was that she only lived a block a way,

Naked, hands tied,

Mouth taped,

Rape implied,

Evil was burning like a flame,

Different victim, same game.

Sad...she was killed so close to home...And sadly this happens way too often...Great job as always!

It is very frightening that the killer is so very bold or either just very comfortable in that particular environment, as it is most likely his neighborhood too, and he knew her comings and goings. Sanity or insanity?

Voted up ++ and sharing

God bless, Faith Reaper

Frank, about 2 weeks ago, I had a male cousin shot and killed two houses from his home. "Different victim, same game." I must mention that the poetic form added novelty to the story.

Different style but always their MO..a trademark pattern for their crimes. Very eerily descriptive!

Frank, this morning I read about a woman raped on the street in India. After reading this poem I'm haunted by a question: why women are always victims.
