Scarred for Life in Jesus Christ
Scarred for Life
God predestined His Son
as the ultimate Sin-Sacrifice
before the beginning of time.
Thus, Jesus Christ was scarred for life: Your life, My life- ALL MANKIND!
Enduring intense excruciating pain,
Christ was rejected, despised and betrayed.
Blood profusely shed from His savagely tortured flesh.
Yet, He remained quiet and “Forgive them,” is what He prayed.
He was pierced for our transgressions and bruised for our iniquities.
By His wounds, we were healed and made whole; and by His punishment we were brought peace.
His intercessory love is to be modeled; with Christ’s sufferings, we must identify.
Enduring our scars produce godly growth, grace and glory;
But, through Christ’s scars we've been justified.
Jesus Christ was scarred for life,
your life, my life, all of mankind.
In Christ, we are more than conquerors, transformed by the renewing of our minds.
“After he has suffered, he will see the light of life and be satisfied;
by his knowledge my righteous servant will justify many,
and he will bear their iniquities.” – Isaiah 53:11
