Sea of memories

Sea of Memories

Sea of Memories

Sitting in the taxi of time

Looking back at the pothole ridden road of life

Looking at the reflection of my past

In the shattered glass

Behind broken Windows

And I close my eyes and breathe

As I dive into a sea of memories

More memories pour in than the raindrops in an ocean

Anguish, agony, and affliction

Angry at the society for rejecting me

Angry at the world for shunning me

And I close my eyes and breathe

As I swim in a sea of memories

As I walk through the prairie of my past

I look at the lost dreams of childhood

The failures of adulthood

The blunders in the quest

For success

And I close my eyes and breathe

As I sink in a sea of memories

In the sea of life

I sail past the garden of hope

The islands of joy

The fields of fortune

And I close my eyes and breathe

As I drown in the sea of memories

Walking through the " prairies of your life " tells of an uninspired and passionless existence...without passion, without living on the edge at least once in your life then you have not really lived at all...you have existed...All the anger, all the frustration, all the piss-poor personal relationships occurred because that is what you wanted...

Dwelling on a joyless past insures a continued life of ennui...We must always seek joie de vivre...some folks find comfort in blaming others, society, or just bad luck for all their problems...an honest appraisal will point to the poor or ill-advised choices we make...

Wipe the slate clean...Today is the first day of your life...Carpe diem, my friend...

Voted up and beautiful...Thanks, Larry
