Seasons bring variety, but is that what you want?
Each Season Has Its Own Beauty
Do you have a spring in your step,
When Springtime comes around?
See the newborn lambs
Skipping all around.
Very pretty.
very cute.
But not for me.
Do you get a thrill from
Autumn leaves underfoot.?
They crunch with every step you take,
A fascinating sound they make
and colours go from brown to yellow,
With shades of red and orange,
A freshness in the air
As sticky Summer nights have faded.
A beauty of its own.
But not for me.
Does the first flurry of snow
Get your heart racing,
Make you welcome Winter holidays,
Families and friends, cosy fires
At home.
While children play outside
And try to build their snowmen.
Healthy cheeks aglow..
Magical... I know,
But not for me.
Just give me Summer, please.!
Warm sunshine on my bones.
Heat in the air around,
Roses, bouganville abound.
I only need one season,
though some rain we need at night.
Parched ground and vegetation
Must have water and light.
But sunshine is my winner,
I've never tired of it.
To walk a long a seashore
Or stand atop a cliff.
To see the sunshine glimmer,
Fills my heart with joy.
I've never missed the wind and rain,
The elements that cause me pain.
I can live without the seasons.
Summer is for me.
