Seattle Man Limerick

Battle engaged....

Oh, God, what is man that thou art mindful of him?

The contention dimension....

There once was a man from Seattle.

who claimed he'd never lost a battle,

But if the truth be known,

to marriage he had flown,

and his "I do" was his own death rattle.

Thanks for the chuckle. Hubby laughed too when I read it out loud.

Limericks are meant to be read out loud and passed along. Thanks for the sharings. It appears this strikes a funny nerve and my funny feedbacks are on the rise again.

The intrigue of "The Contention Dimension" found in the lost art of the limerick. Brilliant and funny and sad, too. Bravo!

Amy Becherer: Three cheers for St. Louie on a typical summer Sunday!

I have a suspicion that it would be near impossible for any limerick to be brilliant, so I will settle for the high praise of funny as being more in keeping with the essence of some good limericks. Because you enjoyed it I will attempt another.

I think great limericks are brilliant. Bad ones are lame. You created a great one!

Amy Becherer: Check out Mhatter99's Limerick which has a photo of a man and woman seated at a bar.

kelitad - How far are you and your hubby from Cedar Rapids? I have a family of 8 (son, d-in-law, and six grandchildren) who love it there. I'm glad the two of you enjoyed this limerick. Thanks.
