Seeds of Contemplation: A Sonnet. To Phyllis Doyle, by Manatita
For Your Love, Phyllis; For Your Innate Spirituality and Your Fortitude
I see Your myriad plans unfolding, like the lotus.
My gaze fixed on the promises of tomorrow’s blossoming dreams.
The Earth yields, giving freely of its plenitude.
Day and night the Mother sings and dances to Her own cadences,
In rhapsody supreme.
Her rainbows caress and soothe my longing;
A divine spark fixed on the luminosity of the crescent moon.
I feel the life-breath of Gratitude; of adoration in my Heart,
As the Spirit rises to the sweet drops of tears within.
Singing Alleluia! My very Essence lifts upwards and inwards to the firmament.
The Sacred Silence kisses my brow,
It’s Word a pulsing in my Heart.
I give thanks on bended knees;
A Soul in obeisance embraces; pays homage to the Cosmic Will….unspoken.
