This guy in your senryu was amazing yet complicated. He was a donor yet driving drunk...what a tragedy.

However, his organs were helpful for some.

Amazing!

What a good message inside this senryu, Ruby. Donating organs to others to help them is a great idea, and I am a donor myself. Life should be like that. What goes around should come around to those who may need it in the end.

Hello Mck, Your encouragement gives me confidence. Thank you so much. I love doing senryu. I have a new one to try, called Tanka. It is a 5-7-5 lines, then two added lines of 7 syllables at the end. I'll have to think about that one, sounds difficult...Cheers my friend..

AE, this was an emotional poem my friend. I believe being a donor is the right thing to do. If we can save just one life or make it easier on someone, it is well worth it. Anyway, nobody can take our soul and that is what counts in the end.

It is hard to express the emotion and create empathy for the reckless driver while telling a story under the limited structure of a Senryu. You have certainly live up to the challenge and given others encouragement to try their hand with this difficult form of poetry. Thank you for the idea and possibilities.
