Shadows’ Whispers (poem)

What shadows leave their whispers in the breeze

Which join the stars to write across the sky

Of moments which will never say goodbye

And moments lost to wonder often frees

-

Soft shadows breath of things which have gone by

As season’s songs roll past our hearts to please

Another moment kissed joins memories

Another moment shared by you and I

-

Embraces of a lifetime warms our flight

These echoes calling beckoning refrain

As on and on we’re lead by these unknown

-

And when we thought our reason was in sight

The heartbeats of these whispers might explain

The face behind these shadows was our own

So beautiful Martin, you have a language all of your own. 'The heartbeats of these whispers might explain/The face behind these shadows was our own' ~ My favorite!

Your poetic prowess is brilliant. It leaves the reader craving for more. I definitely agree with when you say Shadows leave whispers or marks in the breeze. A n inspiring and thought provoking poem in equal measure. Voted up.
