The Seas Beckon Me ....even now.

The Cliffs Of Irelands Coast
The Cliffs Of Irelands Coast

In truth i am a haunted man..... some
misunderstood
and misunderstanding creation
of our god
I will admit .....I have stood and
screamed at him
out of frustration ....out of order
out of my mind
And in the end .....now at least
I look back at a twisted path
and I go on......
And God........He is just as still
as still as the calm before
or after the storms.......
Those that engulfed me
and moved on
Leaving only the haunting
I am humbled by his power
by his silence
and mine........
I am haunted
But.....each time I see the
all powerfull sea
I fall in love
all over again.........

I remember times of being so angry with God that I would just scream and cry, demanding to know the answers. Needless to say He still loves all his children. Not once has it ever done any good to harden my heart to God! He always seems to know just how to soften my heart and ease my fears and anxieties much like your above hub...great write dad!

The ocean has been my friend during the ups and downs in life. I do well around water, it always soothes me and helps to reconnect with a power higher than me.

Another beautiful poem!

This is beautiful and so well written! The line "He is just as still as still as the calm before or after the storms......." causes me to think of the Scripture in Psalm 46:10. "Be still and know that I am God."

Oh, how I love the water on this planet of ours, the babbling brooks, the raging seas, the peaceful pond or just the rain.

Special thanks for this one ahorseback!

Sure there is no greater beauty than the Ciffs of Mohar pictured above. They are carved by the sculptor Neptune the Atlantic. The ocean continuously throws its body against the cliffs to shape the walls as its cradle. Haunting is best done by the enormity and expanse of our awe in the face of God rather than by the ghosts of our past.
