True Story: She had the Patience of a Saint

It was Saturday morning 3 March, 2012 and I was on my way to a Tony Robbins seminar in Croydon, London. Tony Robbins is a famous motivational speaker who Coaches presidents, The rich and Famous, professionals, young people etc.

I checked directions for where I was going online and it seemed pretty straight forward but as I go to a road close to the venue, I couldn’t see the name of the road I was going. I asked a gentlemen if he knew where the road was (He was standing taking donations for salvation army) He pointed in the direction I should go and then a woman passing by stopped. She must have heard us and volunteered to walk me through the shopping centre towards the exit I needed.

It was such a relief because I was late and thanked her so many times. However, as we walked on, the Mayor of London – Boris Johnson was also in the Shopping Centre. I thought “wow, – great opportunity to take his photo.” So, I asked the woman if she didn’t mind me taking a photo of the Mayor. She seemed okay. I thought I’d be able to find my way from there. Little did I know that while I was taking photos, she patiently waited for me. Lol.

Boris shaking hands of customers. (Not a clear photo as I took it in a hurry...)

I was so surprised and apologised. She smiled and walked me to the exit, while chatting and I thanked her again as she left. I was thinking to myself, that I had someone go out of their way to guide me to where I was going and I was busy taking photos. Aaawh, she must have understood.

I enjoyed the Tony Robbins Seminar. He wasn’t there in person. They taught us a few things and talked about the seminar in May 2012 in ExCeL London.

For anyone interested in Tony Robbins...

He is so awesome, but so expensive,

Cheapest Seat – Sitting at the back is £600, Front Seats are over £2,000. See seating plan on the right. The event is for 4 days.

Well worth it though. Check out video below.

Do you remember a time in your life when someone was very patient with you?

Lady_E I beleive an angel was helping you along sister.Sweet story. Love never does fail hey? Tony Robins?? Ok, I am listening to video now. I agree we do have control of our thoughts. God gave us a mind. Too bad tony was not at the seminar glad you enjoyed it.

There is one resource that is free 24/7 Jesus Christ. Love you. In Christ. Hugs sista!

@Dave Matthews - True. I was so far away from home and so stressed. It's nice to meet people like that. Thanks Dave. :)

@Hi Skye2day - you know, it crossed my mind once, that could she have been an Angel? because everything about her was light coloured. Her clothes her hair, her eyes, but then I thought as it was a shopping centre and we talked a lot - maybe not. Gives me food for thought.

It's true about free 24/7 in Christ but I just enjoy Tony's motivational talks. Lovely to see you.

Take Care. :) xx

Lady E , I think you found the perfect inspirational example not in Tony Robbins but in that lady who helped you , I believe these are the truest examples of leadership and motivation , The silent ones who just do little acts of goodness , no fees , no expensive suits . Just quiet patience and lots of kindness . Great hub!......:-}

@Always Exploring - so true. Good people are out there. We need more of them though. Thanks. :)

@Andromida Lol. You are right about the money. I bought his Box CDs a while ago about £100 but I wish he would cater for people like me, who can't afford to go and see him. Having said that, there are a lot of FREE Video's on Youtube but nothing beats being in the same seminar environment.

Thanks for stopping. :)

Hi Paul

Thanks for reading my Hub and for letting me know about the Olympic torch. I will find out the date and will try and get a photo too. I always find it challenging taking photo's of people running. So, I hope whoever is holding it, will be running in very slow motion.... lol.

Cheers. :)

That woman, a total stranger to you and to us, is a real inspiration. Thanks for sharing the story.

I read a book by Tony Robbins and was impressed with his belief in what he was saying. He shared some very personal stories of both his failures and his successes, and shared what changed HIS life...I also think he charges too much...but then again, he's probably rich enough to stop doing what he does so well, which is inspire people to reach their full potential, and just lay back and lap up the goodies in life.

@ahorseback - Aaawh, I wish she could read your comment.

Yes, it's a pity Tony Robbins is so expensive but, the results are remarkable. Lovely of you to stop by. :)

Thanks. It's nice to know you have read one of Tony's books. I hope one of these days he does seminars that are not so expensive. Example: For College Students or new graduates that have just started work. What he teaches has a great impact on life but it comes at a great cost.

I appreciate you stopping by. :)
