Sing On Salmon
Sing On Salmon
Sing on salmon.
Your song rises above the rapids
leaps through the heavens
like an angel’s hallelujah.
Sing on salmon.
Every gulp of air recorded,
every smashing stone anointed,
every tooth brandishing bear rebuked.
Sing on salmon.
A slow slipped eddy is gathering deep and cool.
Sing on Salmon. A chorus of water rushing,
a ballad of sun warmed river rock,
a bridge of glorious un-restrained overcoming,
a verse of ever building triumph,
a speedy crashing anthem of kinetic force
crashing down.
Sing on salmon, sing on.
