37 "Sitting On the Beach"- another poem

Where I was sitting and writing.
Where I was sitting and writing.

Dedicated to my special someone.

Sitting On The Beach

Here I sit alone on the beach,

As I watch a beautiful sunset.

For now you are out of reach,

But not for long on my life I will bet.

***********

Because we are joined at the heart,

Some day we will separate never more.

We knew from the very start,

We were meant to be together on the shore.

**********

Together we weathered so many years,

Knowing there would be a right time.

We knew it was right and shed many tears,

While many others felt it was a crime.

**********

I was married to her,

You were married to him.

My love for her was gone for sure,

The fact that you loved him was slim.

**********

We both knew our love was meant to be,

Our souls were meant to be together.

What we had was hard for others to see,

No matter how they felt we could weather.

**********

Our hearts were meant to be connected,

Together we would stay forever.

With each other we had feelings resurrected,

Our hearts are together, no one will ever sever.

Gregas, I liked your poem, it was touching and at the same time not overly sentimental. That's the way love is sometimes, all different situations. There's a beautiful beach on the coast here called Sunset. If one walks about 3 or 4 miles down the beaches wild undeveloped side they'll come to a spot known as inspiration point. There's a wooden mailbox beside a bench where folks can sit and write how they feel at the moment & leave for others to read. Your poem made me think of that place and that says something good. Thanks my friend.

Its right on the N.C.-S.C. line , a bit above Myrtle Beach. I saw your comment about checking out the paranormal in Colorado. I've had a number of 'experiences' gregas and if your open-minded these things can occur when you least expect them. I'm not promo-ing but if you want to read further; would like to have your thoughts.

Hi Alastar, Thank you for the info. I will keep an open mind. I would like to have it proved to me that these things do exist. I have certain feelings that I had a past life. That's probably worth a hub just to explain that. But I do want good things to write about in my hubs when I do visit these places. Greg
