Snow Grains Poetry
Winter with white painted coats on bare branches
“Mother Nature” tests and fetches her bounty
rounds sundry pleasures among every season.
Snow a beautiful blanketed scene brings to
astonish my eyes with sudden surprise
that present itself from clouded skies
the purest form of natural gain
is gorgeous more gorgeous than any kind of rain.

Winter On The Middle East Coast of U.S.
Truly I've stopped counting how many snow storms we've had this year beginning with our first the day after Christmas 2010. Right now my car looks like an ice cube out in the parking lot and it will remain that way until this next storm passes and I brave the cold elements to go out and clean it off once again.
Winter is beautiful but does have it's downfall. What truly amazes me are the complaints of conditions outside when everyone should be well accustomed to this kind of weather year to year and if not would have moved before this winter.
The news reports tell everyone ahead of schedule what to be prepared for. The townships have crews in place to clean up the roads with plows, salt and sand. Yet listen to the news and hear what those out side are saying is becoming redundant. Yes, it's cold! Yes you have to layer your clothing to stay warm! Yes this does cause public transportation delays! Yes you have to be careful while driving or walking in this weather! Yes, turn the heat up! Do everything common sense tells you to do and get through it.
We know this!
My trees are frozen on my landing and I love the way they look. Icesickles abound. I had to kick a few off from underneath my car last week. I'm ok.
People get so ugly when weather like this happens. I was in a grocery store once and noticed two grown adults fighting over the last gallon of milk which was sad in one respect but funny to watch. They were acting as if they would never taste milk again! People get overly concerned and worry for no reason.
It's only near the end of January 2011 where I live and I'm tired of their wimpy, whiny, cry-baby voices and comments about the weather.
Can we just realize that "Mother Nature" can not change to bring us the perfect day of weather at any time and tread lightly through bad times while looking for the beauty the snow can bring.
Get your sleds out, your snow mobiles, your ride on snow blowers and have fun now because in five months you'll be crying about the heat wave.
