Solitary of Love

A brute poise was left to stand on a one way paved bitter street

Tossed into the sunken pits of the nether world’s darkest deceit

Camouflaged it went, the sly smile that led her to her lonely trail

Smooth spoken his tongue as his lips uttered his woeful tale

Restraints that bound and shackled, held her captive to a “Once Upon A Time”

Left to hang like a delinquent of the 19th Century who committed a sinful crime

Bathed in his soiled yesteryears that sharply drew her breath

A doubt of actuality that tainted her mind, calling upon furies kiss of death

Weakened and betrayed she fell to the whisper of a green-eyed libertine

Pain that drowned her heart in tears of a crying melody, a helpless love of sufferin’

An equation that summed the value of two subtracting the heart of one

Beauty marred by hoggish neglect causing agonies that tormented and spun

Glances of hatred whispered in existence leaving her with a mourning tear

Tainted they went memories ever after, heartache beneath a smile impure

Just a lost case of a hopeless romantic labeled disturbed and insane

A kiss once told in its truest heart pierced by a lie kept in his throat with vain

She sauntered in the direction of a broken promise, a past time soon to be

A mind that wished to speak, syllables forced to be a secret under lock and key

The one she used to call "Romeo" her males given name taken in by vanity

To be alone is to be deprived of the crazy craze of love calling on insanity

You know I had to stop by (Your male version)

The poem was uniquely beautiful...and this line

"A mind that wished to speak, syllables forced to be a secret under lock and key"

"The beauty of it's originality is impulsively authentic, and subtly relative...to the point of inspiration for one's own certifiable truth" - Quinton Jones/ the gentleman/your male version#lhh

Just created that blueprint in a few seconds..probably apart of my next hub#p.s. got to check out Poetic Junkyard#hopefuls

Hey Erica,

This is so profound yet tragically wound words expressed in such flamboyance. Really loved the finishing here....

'........To be alone is to be deprived of the crazy craze of love calling on insanity'

Nicely done and I really loved reading it. I hope it is just a poem not something one that toooo lovely like you had to be felt through....Let it be only thought dear. Take care and keep up the good work. Votes up and shared.

I'm loving the mix of darkness and beauty in your poems, I have a few poems on here in similar fashion. Your poetry is excellent.
