Sometimes I Die

Looking For Answers

I look to the sky for answers-

nothing but clouds and rain

I look to my friends for answers-

nothing but a pat on the shoulder

I look to my family for answers-

they never make an attempt

I look to my heart for answers-

it only knows what I want

I look inside my mind for answers-

it only knows right from wrong

I look around with no success of an answer,

then it comes to me - just die!

**** This poem actually comes from a collection of mine from a long time ago. As I was going through papers yesterday, I happened across it. It brought back many different feelings and memories. I hope you enjoy it.

My dear friend gave me a quote that may help you.

"In your life, you are the only one you will never leave or lose.

To the questions of your life, you are the only answer.

To the problems of your life, you are the only solution."

You can help yourself. All we can do is support you.

Ah, the answer is in your arms. That beautiful little baby! I know that hurt though and the only way to get over it, is to plow right through it. Keep writing. It's great to share and you are so not alone. So many have felt that way!

I feel the unlimited passion you express. You can always find something to complain about and when things are not going right. It can seem that thats all there is in your life.It is part of your life and tells an important story. It should be understood and also put in perspective. There are many things in life that are so overwhelmingly good.Too many to list in my lifetime.I enjoy your sad poem and it is only one thought of many.I am looking forward to reading many more of your writings. You can make them sad or happy your choice.I find I leave my emotions with my writings then I can move on to the next feeling in my life.May it be sad or good depending on the day. Thanks for sharing and making me understand what I couldn't put into words you spendidly did.

Dream on - thanks for the wonderful comment... for awhile I did alot of poetry. It was sort of a release for me as well. This one touched a sore spot in my life that thankfully I am past. I really glad that you enjoyed it so much. I think this is one of the best things about this site is a real sense of community where people can share their feelings through there writings!

If only we can wait for just a few days more, all the woes that drove us madly to the brink of evermore, will fade slowly out the door. What a sad poem and so many take the route that holds no answers only questions about whether it will be better on the other side. I enjoyed your early poem and am glad you are still with us and writing of better things.~~~MFB III

Hey Stacy this is pretty dark for you! I know how it goes though - people always seem to think that poetry is all about the author - it isn't though. It may be just a mood or something I see that catapults me into writing something. I do love the poem! You are a really great writer.

@Real - Thanks - yeah this one is pretty dark but I have to say this was written when I was a young broken hearted teenager! LOL... you know - everything makes you wish you were dead! LOL

Just a thought, but I wish you'd write more poetry as you did it so well.

I can remember feeling like you described in your poem a few times during my life.

I can sense a very torn, broken and forlorn feeling in the lines. An air of depression has embalmed me right now.. I am feeling the same pain.. as felt in the poem....

Just sharing the pain with this person.. encourages me to die along with the poem ending!

This is beautiful poetry!

Brilliant..

@Just ask Susan - I really enjoy writing poetry, but I will admit, I go through phases... sometimes it is all I want to write and other times - I just can't seem to come up with the perfect words... I will try to write a poem in the near future just for you! :)

@rahul0324 - Thank you so much... when the reader can become a part of the writer's words that is what we look for. I am glad that you enjoyed this and could grasp the pain!
