Spiral

A collection of random thoughts and rhyming words; this is Vanessa Williams' "Sprial"

Listen, it sounds like a million drums beating in the distance. The rumble spreads across the ground. Whisper with me now, and listen- as I tell you a fable. Look now how the moon light stretches across the floor. Come closer and I will give you a story of a fool that is a fool no more. Propelling now; action, transit and progress- moving to the beat of a different drum. I project it across a wall for you follow. I am not ashamed; I will not fall on my sword. Spiraling out of control and drifting- falling bold. Take hold of me and lets dash away and we can spiral like there was no yesterday. Thrashing around and there is no one here to watch. I am an adventure and I never endeavor without a watch. Time bound and specific at best. I hold the torch as I run I am still a martyr and no less. I atone and I welcome you to join me now as I digress and the love is flowing all around. My sanity is my gift and I will never trade it out. The ocean of dreams is now fading out; Spiraling out of control and drifting- falling bold. Take hold of me and lets dash away and we can spiral like there was no yesterday.

Lovely and honest. I love imagery and lyricism in poetry/prose. I too use the 'sword" esp from my heritage when I"m writing.

Thanks

@alur. I appreciate the feedback. I sometimes struggle with my writing, I am working being able to write with incorporating my current state at times yet somehow it is always projected.
