Stealing From Robert Frost

Dedicated to Robert Frost the American Poet who has been my greatest influence as a writer and as a traveller on many roads

Ask

If you
Ask me
Art is war
Thieves code
Bleeding roses
Leaving corpses
Stealing from artwork
Reading from the works
Of Robert Frost in the dark

Something he once had written
Says maybe the world will end in fire
But for destruction some would say
That ice is also great and will suffice
Twice as great in fact is the power of ice
Poison snowflakes landing on tongues
Slithering shiny on their bellies
Cold blooded as rattle snakes
Frozen and covering fires with ice
Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery
You have my permission to do the same to me
With everything and everything written by me

Frost also might have said
Doesn't that make you suspicious
That the dead are keeping something
Something somewhere holding it
Back from the living laughing lying
Living death unforgiving words
Giving head to the living dead
Evoked by the witchy cries and coos
Rearing up her legs like a table tipping
Softly saying words committed to memory
Stolen from a book of poetry I read once
Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery
You have my permission to do the same to me
With everything and everything written by me

Robbery of thoughts I loved and then lost
Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery
But true artists just steal what they want
And thieves write it down again as art
Copying right out of the pages
Ripping off wisdom sounding
Like they were schooled by sages
Secretly teaching thieves in the temples
Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery
You have my permission to do the same to me
With everything and everything written by me

Steal my poetry oh please oh please
Every word I ever write plagiarize
Every word I ever write
Or you ever read
My magic is free
Steal from me
Art is free
As is the
Asking

Keep em coming. I read your other dedication as wel, and the beauty in most everything you do stems from the fact it is not about you. Your ignited by the thought of others. A Rare quality.

I chuckle, as please tell your mom I now understand, I can't seem to keep up to, and want to LOL

I'd even settle for keeping up on mine

A Beautiful mind

[ps;at any time feel free to enter a lustful fairy tale with me in a poem no one can stand to end-oh com on LOL kiss BB

Hmmmm Kimberly!! Step away from the poet!!

Robert Frost is okay, but he comes up lacking when it comes to Blake's work. That was a more simple time and the poetry of the time reflects that, althought I love Wordsworth. "Though nothing can bring back the hour of splendour in the grass, of glory of the flower..." but even Wordsworth seems somewhat plain and predictable compared to Blake.

Blake, you are very addictive. Beautiful and well written.

Now now ladies, Enough of that. I appreciate the kind words, but I am only as good as the shoulders I stand upon. Don't inflante my head and ego with such banter. But thank you none the less.

Frost is on of my heros and mentors from the way back. But so is Bugs Bunny, and Mr. Green Jeans. Would you lump them with me in greatness or jest because of their uncomfortable lack of stature in the arts.

Or dare I mention the influence Benny Hill and Michael Ninn have also had on me (should you know their names or what they do as artists of sorts.). Let me be just me - but thank you for your fan fare and commentary.'

You know what I am gonna say...

Keep on Hubbing. Blake4d
