Stealing the Tears from the Sun

The best weapon to tear your heart in two is your own bare hands

Bright light streaking through the stars

another night to shoot the moon

another chance to steal a kiss and laugh and cry

Just reminds me that you're leaving far too soon

I'd steal the tears from the sun

just for a chance to dance in your fire

i'm a good person doing bad things, I know

I'm not a saint but I ain't a liar.

Oh, woe is me

Locked my humanity away

Lost the key

Wandering alone for eternity

Searching for what's now gone

Looking for something we could have done

Bur it's just fate

What comes around sometimes comes a little late

Thank you. I really appreciate that. I have been published a couple of times under another pen name but I am no where near supporting myself from my literary ventures. Supplementary work is still a necessity in my life but one day I hope to live off the earnings of my craft. Perhaps I'll even get brave enough to write under my real name one day.

By "business" I meant fiddling with the ad doodads etc, to actually support oneself through writing must be incredible!! That you've had published work deserves massive respect, the commitment to achieve that is an enviable trait!!

Precisely. You are already well on your way to building your literary platform. Once you have established that, I hope you will pursue the 'business' side of it.

Thankyou!! Yeah I was just looking at the dates of publishing and after 2011 everything else was written this last week more or less so I'm just sowing my literary oats whenever possible and not fussing about the ad's or anything else really, just the writing and maybe a relevant picture and it's on to the next, I can fiddle with the "business" side later :)

The freeing feeling associated with writing is irreplaceable! I'm glad you're writing again. I wouldn't worry too much about the frequency of publishing just yet. If you have the content, get it up. Unless you want to apply for the google adsense program right away, you're safe to publish as much as you want.

I will go have a look at Golden Arms now.

True, this is the first time I've written in 4-5 years, it feels great though! I'm sitting on a few things because I read it's maybe unwise to publish too much at once? I'm apparently in the top 6% of hubbers though with the featured hub thingy which suprised me, it's really encouraging though :) Could you take a look at Golden Arms for me? It's been this afternoon's project and I'd really like your take on it if you've got the time :)

I can understand comparing past and present writing capacities. The chapters I have been sharing are from a book I wrote quite a few years ago. I keep thinking 'Wow, this no where near what I am capable of writing these days.' But it is also a nice reminder that, with practice, one can improve.

Thanks! This one is old, it's weird to see how my writing's developed though :)

'Oh, woe is me. Locked away my humanity. Lost the key.' There is something almost entertainingly blissful in this. Another good one!
