Stereotypes are many - Our Voices Day 9

We're not just writers, we making movements!

A group organized for one initiative and that is to unite the world of poetry, online writers and book authors. To help bring real change to humanity once and for all and with one combined Unified "Voice".
A group organized for one initiative and that is to unite the world of poetry, online writers and book authors. To help bring real change to humanity once and for all and with one combined Unified "Voice".

Stereotype etched on your forehead

Titles of all harshly spoken types
Cursing like a new age sailor
Labeling systems for yuck mouths
Full of trash talk loaded with 1 million doubts

Living by the biases of their parents

Brains overloaded with falsehood antics
Argumentative conversation pieces turned games people play
Prejudicial thought processing plants
Gambling with each relationship with written flames

Acting like a territorial fool for what
You don't have a clue cause you're a nut
where does such ignorance originate from
Life success on pause got swept by broom

Liberty and freedom on hold
to never see the true day of life exposed
Freedom cost those who buy it so major
Side swiped intellectuals doing you a dirty favor

Following falsehoods are = to stereotypes (So silly!)

Note on the Our Voices Writers Movement

Community Role and Overall Purpose:

We are a dedicated non-profit organization of writers and poets. Comitted to sharing and caring for the likes of each other online, and besides that of our content we offer up. Many of us a from the Hubpages writers network here, where we help one another night and day on all differing levels imaginable.

With our combined voices, we are making intiatives to extend our knowledge, online resources and ability to connect with the viewers as a unified team. As a single unified "Voice". (Perks! you can and will get noticed for sure!)

Goals & Intiatives:

This intiative and social community is open to all writers worldwide, and all it takes is to use some fancy Key words to join our movement. Key in the term "Our Voices" into any article you write (On any writers networking platform), make sure it lands into your title of your article, poem, or websites text content. (If you are to do so, load your writings with true feelings from within, and with intent to help bring out the best in others, & please refrain from negative themes.)

This alerts the search engines that you have decided to join our cause. If you want to network with us, we are spread all across the social web. So it is easy to find the usage of such keywords. (If you have trouble finding us, you can visit Poetink.com as well, its our Non-profit community location.)

Additional info:

For more info contact the owner of this profile (Poetic Ink Community Manager) by going to his profile name here. He is known as Cloud Explorer aka Mike Pugh. From there you have the option to locate his social activities and can make the neccesary connections preferably to his Facebook profile, and you can drop him a message or inquiry there.

PS: Thanks for showing interest if any, and for caring to take the time to read this very poem, as well as mental note. (There's many projects in the works folks for this new age writers movement, please stay tuned!)

Labels and child indoctrination. We will continue to grow beyond the dark ages. Great piece Mike.

I just don't think "stereotyping" should be a dirty word or a non-action. It is a baseline that helps us navigate society. No it should not be a conclusion, no it should not be emotional. But like an axe, it is a tool we should have.

I personally want people to stereotype me. It creates all kinds of opportunities.

So I much enjoyed this piece but for me I have to add "hurtful" as a prefix to stereotyping otherwise I cannot stereotype stereotyping as wrong.

Wow, Mike, amazing poem here! Really clever. Enjoyed the read.

Why must we always label people? When we judge people, we have no time to love them!

Voted up +++ and sharing

God bless, Faith Reaper

@Faith Reaper, Hey Faith you now how I role :)

I'm so happy you enjoyed this very poem, because humanity needs to shift in differing directions. One can get tired of all the ignorance that is mustered up, year after year after year on end, you know.

Thanks for taking the time to spread the hub love in my directions. Super cool of you to do as you do quite often, love ya and catch you on one of your hubs soon!!

I think things are getting better, then i hear a racist slur against our president and i'm back to base one, but he got over 50% of the vote, so that tells me second base is near. Loved your poem Mike...

@always exploring, yes indeed things begin to improve I must agree and then they slump on over again, its just another trending wave of sorts. Cyclic in nature and mostly sinusoidal as well. You gotta love to hate it sometimes, right!

Thanks for the cool comment and for sharing, your too sweet! :)

ok..i need to speak to the owner of the profile! Mike - do i actually have to use the those words - IN the title? Or IN the text?

@Deborah Brooks, yes indeed Debbie I hope many more folks decide to put their 2 cents into this movement. It can help motivate us all to even awaken the search engines to start placing hubpages back towards the top of Google's ranking, and also help us all to show the world what kind of writers we truly are made of as a single voice.

Let's hope others are intrigued enough to hop along for the ride, I'm making strides to expand our coverage all across the entire social web. Teaming up on various writers networking locations as well, it is going to be a wonderful time indeed. Thanks for sharing!

@Msdora, thanks for considering to join our online campaign, we have a small group of 60+ community members and many of us are doing good things for one another today.

It's a small group, but we are determined to help unite the writers online communities elsewhere as opposed to folks doing this thing alone, or in tiny smaller clicky type groups.

I think with the right mind frame, intentions, a bit more good positive folks involved and focus. People will begin to catch on to our movement we are shaping and looking to make a true reality on a much larger scale.

We shall see in due time for sure. Thanks for sharing with me and for caring to comment on my poem.

@ImKarn23, Hey Leslie yeah place the keyword into the Title and add anything else to it you like. Maybe use a dash to separate it as I done here.

You can also write about the movement itself and to help bring greater focus onto its overall goal and theme if you wish.

I'll fill you in more on FB with all the details. Thanks for the interest and for sharing! that was quite thoughtful of you.

Voted up. This is great poetry Mike. That's why we've got to be careful because people are always playing games. Hope you have a great weekend.

Yes indeed @Gypsy Rose Lee, so its imperative for us to do what's right by ourselves and that of others for sure.

I never ever take anyone's word for what it is worth until I see something that's hardcore evidence, and or can relate to such from my past experience. Thanks for choosing to share with me as you do quite often.

Interesting thought. The question is do the stereotypes hold truth, or do people just work hard to fill the stereotype.

I could see this as a spoken word piece. Interesting ideas and strong words---my favorite line was "prejudicial thought processing plants". ~Lurana

@PHILLYDREAMER, good question. I believe the answer lies in the societal modes of operandi, and in which people are literally programmed from birth to believe in whatever the cultural patterns, ideals and morals, or lack of such a thing as well.

Superstitions play a huge factor into the picture as well, and then there's the television, news, media, books, belief systems, family values, etc...

So much for the individual to be programmed by for such a reality to hit their mind, and for them to assume the likes of a single stereotypical titling and or labeling system pretty much.

Word!

Thanks for caring and for sharing your thoughts and cool thought provoking question, its always nice to play on such philosophical though processing as a answer that may suit anyone's fancy. LOL :)

@MrsBrownsParlour, Glad you approved of my ramblings here. I like to let off a tad bit of steam every now and then and throw it all up onto the screen to appeal to the senses.

Thanks for the comment and for sharing your thoughts on this silly poem I unleashed here :)
