Struggles Answered - Poem
Captured and bound
Shackled with chains that
Grow heavier every day
Accepting misery is my life.
I give up.
I cannot escape on my own.
Why are you troubled, and
Why do doubts arise in your heart?
Remember, my light pierces every darkness.
I long to refine you to reflect me.
That is why you are struggling.
I am making you more like me.
You have seen great things, in my name.
Tell of these great things, in my name.
Understand I am pruning your life
Because I need you to tell others
I love them.
Do not keep such a gift as this.
Give it away.
When things seem impossible,
I am at hand.
When you feel alone,
I hold you the tightest.
You are mine.
I desire to use you so that others will be mine.
Do you trust me?
I delight to work through you.
Will you let me?
God, your Father, who is crazy in love with you

When struggling under the weight of feeling useless for God, it is in Him and our actions for Him that we find our sweet rescue. Psalm 109 is the inspiration for these words.
