Summerland- A Poem

Summerland, Pagan Afterlife
Summerland, Pagan Afterlife | Source

I close my eyes to reach for Summerland

Pictures of peace that cannot be

An after life, hour glass sand

Count down to the end I see.

Vast land that never ends

And flowers always in bloom

To be once again with friends

And never feel such doom.

Sidhe and Fairy life exist around

Things impossible to imagine

Come from the ground

And smiles exist again.

But it all goes away

With the beginning of a new day

Sadness weighs down my thoughts

And all I am is distraught.

Summerland why are you so far

Please come near,

Show the light that you are

And finally end this fear.
