Sunday Brunch: a short poem about family

Sunday Brunch

-------------------------

Sunday morning

Breakfast grits,

Stumptown Coffee

Bites and sips.

Cream & sugar

on my lips.

Jokes and waffles,

Chicken tits!

Father laughs,

Napkin tap.

Mustache cleaner,

Pancake scraps.

Mother slaps,

my smug smirk.

Syrup on

my favorite shirt!

Sister pokes

and provokes,

as my brothers

start to joke.

Grandma grins

and begins

on when...

my life began!

Sighs and ham.

Laughs & jam.

Sunday brunch,

with the whole Fam-dam!

So funny, happy, and sweet :) The whole fam-dam was there and it sounds like a wonderful and yummy breakfast.

Thi reminded me of when I was really little, and visiting the grandparents, and everybody was actually enjoying breakfast.

Well done.
