Sunrise to Moon Rise
Come, take my hand
And walk along this gold laden street.
Take notice of this beautiful sunrise
It will be the last one we meet.
Please don’t say a word,
There is no need to for us to talk.
Just come, take my hand
And enjoy our early morning walk.
I won’t pretend we will be the same,
As the moon sets, so will we.
Don’t try to run away,
Just kindly walk with me.
I know I have to let you go.
I know it was your time to pass.
And though here, you can hold my hand,
In life you are laying far beneath the grass.
I know this is the last time
That you will come and take my hand.
I know tomorrow you will have passed
Into the promised land.
