Sunshine in My Night

the sky is pushing black

my mind emits pure light

and while the storm

refuels your fright

I have sunshine

in my night

black mass obscures your view

in-between my skies are blue

scurry

hide

close your eyes

or is it black inside there too?

Very nice, Russ...Thank you for the thought...

Would that we all could have a spot of warm sunshine in our long and dark nights....

Hi Russ. Great new poem. Colorful and thought provoking. And I hope I'm correct in saying that it's got a bit of fun in it as well. The first photo I like the best for this, but then the second one makes a fabulous ending, especially with the strips of blue, deeper than the first. Were they your inspiration or did you get lucky after the fact?

Hi guys, thank you. I actually wrote this a long time ago. I was sitting in a field in Namibia watching the darkest storm clouds I had ever seen and yet somehow found the experience enlightening. Others were really scared. It's great to revisit memories and poetry does that for me when it's come from a deeper place.
