Sweet Pain- a poem
By Tony DeLorger © 211
Tender moments linger soft,
in memories clear and dreams aloft,
each second we are parted makes,
my heart’s refrain a constant ache.
Without your soul entwined in mine,
you body mind and essence rhyme,
I tremble, lost in love divine,
your heart and thoughts sublime.
Longing for your gentle touch,
your words of love I miss so much,
your softest kiss and warmth robust,
our passion fire ignites.
The sweetest pain your love remains,
a shadow cast within my brain,
retrieving thoughts and lovers gain
the fruits of blissful life.
On your return my place to earn,
our love to seal and life discern,
my commitment begs your love revive,
give meaning to my breath derive.
My soul awaits your loving mind,
to accept my gift and love survive,
the whisper of what’s true and right,
your bed my dream tonight.
Impassioned pleas let walls release,
from two to one our souls appease,
this time apart between loving hearts,
has sealed our hopes and dreams.
The future awaits.
