Sweet Sleep: A Poem by Mizzery
Step into my mind for a bit. Who knows? You may like it here.
In my dreams you come and whisk me away
We're wrapped up in each other with nothing to say.
In my dreams life is perfect when I am with you
Never before have I known love that's so true
In the night you come to me and do everything right
Your words and your actions set my heart alight!
In the night when you're with me no problems exist
It's hard to believe how much I have missed.
When I am asleep I'm the one you adore
There's no one else that could want me more.
When I am asleep I could die in your arms
You've succeeded in capturing me using your charm.
But when I awake I realize you're not even there
It's all in my head, this sordid affair
When I awake my world crushes down around me
Because I can only have you each night in my dreams.

A poem about regret
In order to be able to decorate a beautiful cake, you need to start with a perfect base. A blank canvas, if you will. You wouldn't buy an actual canvas with a hole in it, would you?
