THE WEAVER OF DREAMS: A POEM

The setting sun on the placid waters
Tinged her locks golden
A pink dust as of fairy floss began to settle
The silver waters rocked gently
To her lullaby
The ripples broke forth from her voice
Low, deep and murmurous
The magic in the air clung to her
And her eyes shone dreamy
To her lullaby
The deepening eve slowed it's descent
And the frost in the air rose and fell with her ditty
Every silence, pause in twilight's bloom
Made her cheeks flush scarlet
To the lullaby
She is the weaver of all dreams
Weaving through musical seams
The stringed instrument on her shoulders
Like pearls falling from heaven's showers
Deep into the night, gently weaving
As long as the moon shone to keep company
Threading hope into the sleepers, heaving
Floating her dreams across the deep, sweet sea

The mind works in such mysterious ways: there is no voice more melodious, no tale grander, and no journey more beautiful and enticing than what is given to us via our sleep.

Oh what a lovely poem. The words seem to leap off the page into the heart of the reader, and the picture only adds to the beauty of this piece. Great work.
