This Girl
You better look quick!
While I’m passing on the roadside, driving rigs with gears galore, this girl pauses to see me; she smiles she waves, she smiles; she nods her approval and more…
She makes me grab for levers, moving buckets, blades and booms; then I’m throttling up full power with a solid diesel roar…
I don’t know much about her, except she’s fine, and that she shines; how sad those guys could hurt her, this special friend of mine…
A moment passes between us, for me it lingers still; a special sort of longing, for a friend my heart to fill…
I trust her day is brighter, when “this girl” passes on her way; that her heart becomes much lighter, because I hope I made her day…
