Angels of Youth

There is a haunting beauty to loss.....

yes..... of losing ...part of the truth.

Truth of living and the costs as well

to lose someone of youth.

The child lost .... just misconception

isn't loss when there is no more.

And death too ....we never lose

children wait on a glimmering shore.

For once ... they should not say lost

only ...we'll see you once again.

Time is the only friend of death

soo long before our end.

But I will see you again my brother...

and I wonder have you aged.

There in the gardens of heaven

there where the angels rage.

I remember a boy of beauty and the

gentle curve of sneaking smiles.

Such a long straight line now

waiting in these living miles.

I will run to you first my brother

child ......so wait there just for me.

In the tears of joy that follow

the waiting will set us free.

Yes there is a haunting joy

in these many lost years .

But too......there is a reflection of

heaven ......in pools of fallen tears.
