Tale Of The Night (poem)

Sing softly oh tale of the night

For dawn is a lifetime away

What fate holds my mind in a mist

As feelings are all set astray

-

I wander through twilights unknown

Where reality isn’t quite plain

And as I am carried along

My heart has to settle the strain

-

Sing softly oh tale of the night

Bring rest to the voices I hear

Confused as they carry about

As they whisper words which aren’t clear

-

Here doomed to this twilight unknown

Alone on this answerless quest

Whose veils bring a rush to my soul

A fool pleads to put this to rest

-

Sing softly oh tale of the night

Forever at last came to this

The reasons are told by a tear

The memory of their first kiss

Aw, what a beautiful tale . . . I really love that lovely line "my heart has to settle the strain."

Very romantic and beautiful music and video of kissing.

Voted up ++++ and sharing

Hugs,

Faith Reaper

My heart sighs when I read your pieces, sometimes relief, sometimes sadness, but you make the heart respond each time and that's all I need to say.
