Tears, Fears and Hope

The first half of this piece relates to how I was feeling the night I was saved, just before my first Church service. The middle section is my realisation of Him and His love. The third part is me in Hind-sight and the final part (which is the same as the middle section) is just the continued praise of Him and to remind us that no matter how far we may think we have come - we should never take away from glorifying Him and exhalting His name.

I hope it is a blessing for you, as the Lord blessed me with these words and has urged me to share them. :)

I lie here,

Just sitting in my tears.

All of this instigated

By my fears.

Every value, every moral

That I ever held dear,

I am nowhere near,

I look left, I look right

And, to the rear.

The old me is like a dot

Far

In the distance.

I am lost, crying out for you

In this very instance...

Lord hear my cries,

Don’t despise,

Feel my pain,

I am broken,

I am lame,

I am crippled

In my heart

And in my brain.

Contaminated is every blood cell

Running in my veins.

Nobody knows me like you Lord.

Nobody Knows me like you...

Nobody knows me like you Lord.

Nobody knows me like you...

Lo-o-ord...

You wipe away each and every tear,

You can settle all of my fears.

Oh, Lo-ord.

Yes its true,

And so I sing all of my praises

Only to you,

Lo-o-ord!

But look at how things have changed,

Satan, count me out!

No longer,

do I wish to play your games.

Trickery, treachery,

Lies and adultery.

Satan has been deceiving,

This much can’t you see?

Each and every sin has a price,

I’ll tell you once,

I’ll tell you thrice.

Not even one comes free,

That’s why Christ came,

Now this:

I see!

My eyes are open,

And the truth can set my

heavy ladened heart free.

I feel His love,

Call me selfish

But I just

Can’t quite, get enough.

I BASK IN IT.

I’LL BE DRINKING FROM HIS FOUNTAIN

OF IT.

I came from the pits,

I’ve been the dead that still lives.

I’ve seen them walk,

I’ve heard them talk –

I’ve seen them duck,

I’ve watched them hide,

Out of pride –

They run for cover,

Now they can call me

A Bible bashin’

Jesus lover!

Or, maybe even a Nutter

But believe me,

When I say these words

That I gladly utter:

Lord...

I know which side my bread is buttered.

Nobody knows me like you Lord.

Nobody Knows me like you...

Nobody knows me like you Lord.

Nobody knows me like you...

Lo-o-ord...

You wipe away each and every tear,

You can settle all of my fears.

Oh, Lo-ord.

Yes its true,

And so I sing all of my praises

Only to you,

Lo-o-ord!
