Teddy wonders where she has gone.

A hide-and-seek game should never take this long.

Dusty silence is a bleak host,

and he always feels blue when she’s away.

Beloved and broken

Teddy sits upon a shelf

like a childhood diary, long forgotten… He keeps her wishes and secrets

-locked tight-

in stains and stitches.

Cherished and clichéd

Teddy looks over his kingdom.

Once upon a time, he, a brave knight slaying tyrants

and befriending diamond-bellied dragons.

Every scar & every jewel earned in the name of love.

Desired and deserted

Teddy dreams of dancing in the moonlight.

He’s dazzled by the campfire and its scents

…keawe and burnt sugar…stars and sleeping bags…

pieces of a memory neatly folded in the closet.

Eternally earnest

Teddy waits patiently, only faith keeps him alive.

One day, his best friend will come to mend worries and wounds

with XOXO

Wow, thanks Shaisty-Chase-Tea ;) Ninjas kick ass!

I'm what you call a "mix-plate" here in Hawaii...a little of everything- lol! I'm mostly Caucasian (which is a mixed bag already) and Filipino, but I do have some Cherokee blood from my mother's side as well...
