Tell Me Which Are You

She was a woman

He loved so very much

But she appeared to be

Someone you couldn’t love too much

At first he thought it was because

She was afraid of loving

But then he realized he didn’t know her at all

There were days when they had great fun

She was all that he could want

And so much more

She would tell him she loved him

And they would spend

Nights full of passion

Then came the stormy days

When she was hard to please

When nothing seemed to come together

And he wondered what their future would be

He longed to have her forever

But here never seemed the right time

To try to pin her down

To tell her all that he felt

After the storm clouds passed away

The sun would shine again

And he’d find pleasure

In everything

She said and did

It just made him smile

To think how he’d figure it all out

When he thought
That she was happy

He discovered that she was not

When he thought that she was sad

He found her laughing

He never knew if he was coming or going with her

And decided that that was just fine with him

She was a joy to be with

But he soon realized

That even as much as there was a love between them

Someday this restless woman

Would simply go away

The harder you try to hold onto something of value, the more it can slip away. There is a beautiful message in this lovely prose poetry, Rasma. Love it!

Hi,

I loved reading this---and listening to Elvis was divine also. This sounds so much like one of my friends--I call her Diamond because she has so many facets to her personality---I see a different person appear before me. She is never dull---but can get on one's last nerve.

I voted up--beautiful and amazing and tweeted it.

Glad you enjoyed this Maria. Oh, yes we can be moody. Hugs.

Glad you enjoyed this Bill.

Glad you enjoyed this Bobbi. Elvis is wonderful and inspirational. I once had a T-shirt with Moody Blue written on it. A teenage whim. Your friend sounds fascinating. Thanks for the vote and share.

Glad you enjoyed this Martin. I've had a few friends like that too but you're right first and foremost they are friends.

It has such a ring of truth to it. We had friends, the wife was like that, and sure enough despite his love, she went away. It was heartbreaking to watch. Voted up++

Mmmmm.....sometimes enough can be too much? Life offers many paths, some stay on the straight and narrow, and some need to explore every turn.

To stay on the same path takes a miracle - AND a herculean effort, me thinks..

But, that's just me...lol..

Another beautiful and insightful message, my friend!

sharing..

Good one. . .but I'd have to say that on the flip side, men can be just as confusing!
