That never befitted

when he was a child !
when he was a child !
Now he is a grown up man!
Now he is a grown up man!

There lived a small boy in a town

with his mom-dad, in a house lane down

They got him a pair of brown shoes, very loose

The boy grew up with time into a man

befitted but never the shoes, brown !

*************************************************

summarily........

I think, most of us and specially those who come from middle class families must have precisely experienced this in their childhood. Whenever our parents bought shoes for us that was definitely1-2 size plus, never fit to our feet and on walking made an irritating puff-puff sound . They always planned for the next two years, keeping the point in mind that their children are growing and very fit shoes will simply waste their money. That was really very annoying at times, but becoz of innocence we children were easily convinced of their trapping words. No matter how long time has been passed, we still have those pranksters in our memories and whenever get a chance we never forget to discuss this foolery of parents with our friends to enjoy a whole lot of laughters!

And one thing , it is equally true that now we are trying those pranks on our kids too!!!

My mother would tell me stories of how her mother and father couldn't buy her new shoes. So she often wore hand me downs that were to big.She had to put paper in the toes to make them fit.To this day she has corns that will never go away. You think I would learn and be thankful. No I did the opposite I have a closet full of shoes I never use. Some lesson take awhile to sink in.Some take years or a good hub to hit me on the head.Thanx again.
