The Betrayal of the Poet......

And was this good for you she asked
they know you .....and more than I
Why do you tell them so much
I've seen and I wonder why

The intimate encounter of
like souls ......sure enough betrays
The expressed desires ......surely
you must wonder some days

Do we know each other from a place
deep ....deep within
And touch imaginary fingertips ....caress
invisible skin

No ..No ...No my love It's just a simple
and beautiful jesture
To reach out and share like the
joker ...the jester

A king ......a queen... some kingdom
imaginary places
A heart ....a soul ......a spirit
a smiling of unknown faces

I'll trade a poem with you
for yours or write one free as well
The words...... the emotions ? From where
do they come......seeping from this well

Writing poems for free sure costs a lot. Tears, heart, pain, joy...the list is long and the people beloved.

She calls, this muse from within /caress by her intimacy / our soul take flight.

This has deep meaning for me. I often have recognition of souls I have yet to meet but surely have known before. In this land of poets we swap our crafted tales and now and then they fall on ears that are kindred. We are like children playing with new mates, words our toys.

Howdy ahorseback - How to make a beautiful and simple gesture into a thing worth reciting and remembering - that's what's nice about a good poem.

Gus :-)))

Thank you! I recently went on a Bluebonnet Trail tour in the Ennis area, which is the official hub of the trail. They were gorgeous. I need to download the pix I took.

You could do that Nellieanna , I was actually shocked at how beautiful the bluebonnets are after only hearing about them for years. Thats one thing about the west that I love , the absulute contrasts of desert sand and color, there is such a vast and dramatic difference in the range of colors. Thank you.
