The Bond Of Husband And Wife

Touched By Love

Not just for this moment while times are good

When all things happen without any extra effort

Not even a second thought

As easy as water running down a stream

Flowing in one direction

Sweet harmony

The sounds of beauty translated

In a language unknown to words

We wait and watch

Amazing in the light

For others to appreciate and try to duplicate

Step by step

Then a funny thing happens

Our love grows stronger

Just as a plant has it's roots deep under the soil

Hidden by Mother earth

We have our connection

Learning slowly by our mistakes

Our flaws pull us together even closer

Then as darkness sets in

Our sense of sight is lost

Blindly we trust

Leaning for support and help

Our sense of touch now more important than ever

To feel our way through life

Uneasy and helpless

Guided by kindness and honesty

Hidden pressures and stress

Are dismantled carefully

Bringing no harm or disaster

Confidence replaces anxiety

We quietly do what we have always done

Work as two equals

Where both halves connect in the middle

Making life such a special place

For many years turning tears into joy

Where we know every foot forward

Would be impossible without your help

We could easily fall

If you weren't their to catch me

Independent and free

In any second a team so strong

We face the toughest obstacles

Carrying on

Loving each other every chance we get

Thanking them for not just what we have done

But for all things to come

Long before they happen
