The Bottom Of Every Low

I have been to the bottom,

very bottom of every low.

I've seen the pattern of every shoe

and felt the force of every blow.

Just a stones throw from hell,

well past a mile into exile and

around the corner from skid row.

I have been to the bottom,

very bottom of every low.

Though it seems like I've failed,

there's one thing that I know.

While I lost sight of what was right,

I found plenty of room to grow.

I read this twice, the 2nd time out loud...The visual descriptors are raw, real, and relevant...Looking at that shoe sole from the bottom up is a disturbing vision that evokes not a little anger and indignation...

Voted up and awesome...Larry

A well written poem. It's short but very profound. Thanks for sharing. I voted it up!

Have a great day and God bless! :-)
