The Bouncing Ball

By Tony DeLorger © 2013

Intrepid I, on sunny days,

when life's promise stands alone,

until weather clouds my cheery grin,

the darkness in me sown.

Then the bravery fades away from view,

and I in shadow join the hue,

the fears of failure and past events,

hold me fast a mind construed.

The thoughts invade on sullen days,

and I all battered, find,

resistance hard in binding chains,

still held and I abide.

For all my will it not be so,

and all the suns that inspire me still,

darkness somehow finds that crack,

and opened I to that shadow will.

Forever seeking days of light,

where souls can open, be free,

and cast out the demons of darkness play,

with truth alive to see.

Each day I pray for balance,

and my light to guide me home,

the weight upon my shoulders,

to leave my life alone.

Accepting the good with the bad and not judging it, is all we can do on the journey of life. Ultimately, struggle is our greatest teacher, offering the development of resilience and a balance of perspective. Happiness, if sought, is not a consequence of either good or bad, rather a decision of state of mind.

I totally agree because the universe exists within a balance, there has to be negetive to have positive! The law is polarity, shown in seasons and cycles. So when you lose, don't forget to win!
