The Bridge from Alone

By Tony DeLorger © 2011

In love, alone cowers in dark corners,

recedes into the void of abandonment,

relenting the pervaded arms of loving intent,

the warmth of lingering emotions.

Near or far love creates a bridge,

a permanence of the soul’s belonging,

and being alone ceases to be.

Wherever we are whatever we do,

we are never alone,

love imbues our lives and our hearts,

suspended in the arms of our lover,

beyond time and place,

everpresent within the warm folds of passion,

and the gentle thoughts of adoration.

In a soft pliable cloud we walk,

the radiance of love evident in all we do,

all we think and say,

the bridge from alone delivering us

to a world filled with hope and possibility.

Ever-present the nearness of you,

your sweet breath upon my flesh,

you tender touch and calming mind,

surrounding me.

With you, I am never alone.

very well written. I can empathize with this one from my own experience. I continue in my struggle and will recover. thanks for this analogy.
