The Call To Bliss

The Call to Bliss

buckle up, and hold on tight...
life awaits, yield not to fright..
dare to reach, and dare to strive!
dreams of youth call knights to thrive.

buckle up and hold on tight...
chase your dreams long in the night...
nurture those that sing within
abandoned dreams forge into sin!

buckle up and hold on tight...
greatness is your fate and right!
talent is your writer's voice.
to live or die the artist's choice.

buckle up and hold on tight...
the quill is but elusive sprite...
within your hand will dance and sing
and cause you blush as early spring!

buckle up and hold on tight...
embrace the dawn and cherish night!
all will yield their secret true
if your passion, thus pursue.

buckle up and hold on tight...
life will season the contrite.
Pour your heart and spill your soul
bind your spirit to your scroll...

buckle up and hold on tight...
make Destiny your vow and plight
life is fleet, yet too soon gone.
permit not pain, your passion fawn.

buckle up, and hold on tight...
life awaits, oh tender knight..
be not shy, nor be remiss!
you peer into the face of bliss!

I haven't read a mediocre poem by you yet. You simply excel with the talent to put together the most thoughtful words and phrases.

Oh my goodness, I love this! A wonderful expression of all the adventure and wonder that a writer can find in the written word.....Brings to mind all of those magical tales that I read as a child...(C.S. Lewis, Tolkien, Anne McCaffrey, etc..) Great Job! and I loved the pictures too!

Another inspiring piece, my poetic friend. I try to keep up with your material but you are so prolific! Your pen must never stop. Write on, painter of words!

Doug, to be blatantly honest, i have some trouble keeping up with it all, as well!!! I wake up in the wee hours with verse ringing in my ears! Sleep be damned! I just don't get it myself, since I went for literally YEARS without being able to write a single thing of substance or meaning...It is a God Thing...I am grateful, nonetheless, and so appreciate you!

This was fun! I'm taking these lines as my intention for the day:

"chase your dreams long in the night...

nurture those that sing within

abandoned dreams forge into sin!"

Yes young Ben is an inspiration to a few here at the hubs, he is writing so well and right from his heart. Holding very little back, he shoots from the hip and let's his lifestyle past and present guide his pen.

He is filled with passion for writing and I am very happy to be following him and offering any advice or assistance I can give him, I am super impressed with Ben. Write on tnderhrt you are prolific.
