Dreams of the Child Spirit

imagination runs free

lying on my back

lost in the sky

really feeling

the warmth of the sun

on my face

exploring the feather

that fell from the sky

experiencing the wonder

the beauty

the colours

the texture

serious silliness abounds

tickling spontaneous adventures

from the heavens

spirit of passion, authenticity

allowing dreams of wonder

wondrous dreams, unconditional love.

touching, feeling, exploring, not holding back

collecting shells, stones and finding wonder in the moon,

the sun and streaks across the sky.

in music, playing, singing, flowing, gasping with joy,

the small miracles others seem not to notice.

risking yet respecting appropriate boundaries

laughing, not taking self too seriously

yet taking activities seriously

playing within the moment

being free

depending upon freedom

to express the child spirit

feeding by laughing

kicking through leaves

seeing the wonder

and crying too

the free, cleansing, soothing

releasing tears

of life
