The man with a plan pan-handles
next to the toothless, roofless man
who bears the scars and shag
of 20 years of sidewalk buffet.
Some 5, maybe 10 years later, and the scarred man
had long since had his last meal, his last concrete cuisine;
And the man with the plan shakes his coffee can,
bearing the scars and shag of some 5, maybe 10 years of peddling and planning.
